Montana Off Road Series (MORS): This weekend experience the "Jedzilla" All race funds for Jedzilla go to the Montana Junior Cycling Foundation Saturday, September 1, 2007 - ** RESULTS ** Downhill: $20 Registration: 9am Practice runs: 9:30 to Noon. Seed Run: Noon Final Run: approx.1:30pm Course Description: 2400 vertical feet approx. 3.5 miles (course record 7 minutes 14 seconds.) Single track with two road "speed sections" various technical elements throughout, basically "Deadman's" on HGH/Steroids! Sunday, September 2, 2007 - ** RESULTS ** Cross Country: $20 Registration: 9am Beginner Loop: 3 laps approx 2.25 miles 450 vertical feet. Road, double and single track. Race @ 10:30am (avg. lap time 15 minutes) Sport (2 laps)/Expert (3 laps) Loop: approx 6.2 miles 1560 vertical feet. single, double track very little road. This is a totally different course from last year's race, more technical and more fun! Sport/Expert Race @ 11:30am (avg. lap time 45 minutes, record lap time 37 minutes). Downhill Practice Series Information: Dates: August 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th 2007 (Every Thursday in August) Registration: 6:00pm No pre-registration, day of event only. Registration Fee: $5 Start Time: Practice Race Begins at 6:30pm Shuttle Provided Current USA Cycling Mountain Bike License required. One day ($5) and annual ($60) licenses available at registration. Practice Race Format: Downhill practice participants will have 1 warm up run and 1 “money” run (2 runs) Course Description: 2400 vertical descent over an approximate 3 miles of single and double track. Additional technical terrain features throughout the run. Average run time 9.5 minutes. Cross Country Practice Series Information: Dates: August 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th 2007 (Every Wednesday in August) Registration: 6:00pm No pre-registration, day of event only. Registration Fee: $5 Start Time: Practice Race Begins at 6:30pm Current USA Cycling Mountain Bike License required. One day ($5) and annual ($60) licenses available at registration. Practice Race Format: Racers will be grouped and started by category Expert Men and Women (1st), Sport Men and Women (2nd 5 minutes after Expert), Beginner Men and Women (3rd 5 minutes after Sport). Course Description: All participants will race on an approximately 8 mile loop. Course contains single and double track along with several technical ascent and descent sections. About 1100 feet of total vertical feet on the loop. Equipment: DH & XC participants are required to wear helmets at all times when riding on bikes. NO EXCEPTIONS! DH participants are recommended to wear additional protective gear. |
